High School

At The Cradle High School, our grades speak volumes, based on the grades of our current Year 11 students. We know what it takes to create the most exceptional results, combining the highest quality education with personalized learning solutions – against the backdrop of a nurturing and supportive environment.

Extracurricular activities

                EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES The Cradle High School encourages the spirit of sportsmanship, competition and talent development for every student, with extracurricular activities such as basketball, table tennis, football, swimming, dancing, karate and music.

ADMISSION

Admission is on into Year 7 – 8 & 10 – 11 (JS 1 – 2 & SS 1 – 2) 2023/2024 Academic session. Admission is offered upon success at the entrance examination and the availability of space in the candidate’s desired year of entry.

The subject areas for the entrance examination are English Language, Mathematics and General Paper. Exams are Computer Based.

THE CRADLE HIGH SCHOOL BENIN

DECEMBER 15, 2023

Dear Parents, We are grateful to God for a successful Christmas Term and end of year! Our sincere appreciation to all our Esteemed Parents for your support and collaboration throughout the course of the term.

RESULTS

The Christmas Term reports will be published on the school portal on Friday 15 th of December 2023. Kindly contact your ward’s class teacher if you encounter any difficulty.

YEAR 9 CAMBRIDGE CHECKPOINT REGISTRATION / NIN 

Registration for Checkpoint exams will commence and conclude in January. The exams have been slated to kick off in early April, 2024. All students in Year 9 are required to have their National Identification Number (NIN) available for the registration process.

CHECKPOINT MOCK EXAMS / CAMBRIDGE TUTORIALS 

In preparation for the Check Point Exams, a Cambridge Mock Exam has been scheduled for 24th – 26th of January, 2024 for all Year Students. Cambridge Tutorial classes for Year 9 and 11 will continue from 15th of January 2024. 

 

BECE / NECO EXTENSION CLASSES

 

 Extra classes in preparation for the State and Federal Exams for Year 9 classes will also commence on the 15th of January, 2024. Time: Monday – Thursday – 3:00 – 4:30pm Saturday – 9:00am – 12:40pm

  DELF EXAM RESULT

 

Results for the A1 and A1.1 DELF International Exams which held in May have been sent. 

 We congratulate and commend the students for their efforts. Copies of the original results were sent home through the students.

 

 

 SPORTS / NEW SPORTS WEAR 

 

We are glad to inform you that as part of our aim in delivering a rich extra-curriculum, the Management has upgraded the Basketball court against the new term.

 

 An experienced basketball coach will be engaged to coach the students and also kick start the Basketball Club. More info will be given on this. New customized sports wears (track suit) have also been delivered against the new term.

 

Parents who made full payment in the Christmas term for uniform are to pick up the sportswear from the 4th of January, 2024 from the Front Desk. Parents who are also interested in purchasing the new sports wear for their wards can do so by visiting the Front Desk.              

 

  SCHOOL FEES

 

 

 

All fees are to be paid before resumption. Kindly send soft copies of receipts of payments to the School’s accounts email @: accountshigh@thecradleschool.ng

Printed/hard copies of receipts should be tendered on resumption for clearance purposes. Easter term commences on the 8 th of January, 2024. We wish you all a beautiful yuletide! Thank you.

                       Facilities

The Cradle High School features a number of recreation and specialist facilities to enhance teaching and learning and extra-curricular activities.

The school provides an excellent educational experience in a safe and nurturing environment.

Swimming Pool

The outdoor swimming pool allows for weekly use.

 

Computer Facilities

Two ICT labs with high speed internet connection. All classes are equipped with smart boards, multimedia projectors to facilitate learning.

Science Labs

The school has distinct and separate science laboratories for practical sessions in Physics, Chemistry, Basic Technology,

Home Economics, and Biology. The labs are spacious and well equipped.

and offer modern and excellent equipment where our students are encouraged to use their analytical and creative skills through

research and experimentation.

School Cafeteria

The Cradle High School Benin tends to the needs of the students by providing them daily with lunch. The lunch are well served in an air-conditioned hall, to ensure that the children are comfortable, We provide a blend of Local and Inter-continental dishes.

Library

The school Library, equipped with computers and internet provides an ideal area for students to research and work independently.

Book and Uniform Store

Prescribed textbooks, work-books and stationery for each class and subject option are available at the school store.The Cradle High School believes in the importance of a school uniform and students are expected to look smart. Uniforms are available from the school suppliers.

Medical Care

The school has a well-equipped sick-bay under the control of a highly qualified nurse and all cases of injury or illness receive medical attention. Whenever specialized medical aid is required, emergency transport is available to take a student to hospital. Our sick-bay works in close conjunction with the Government’s Department of Health and Medical Services.

Art Studio

The art studio support a variety of creative activities

Music Studio

The school features a music studio to provide students with adequate opportunity to develop their music abilities. The Music Studio is well equipped with a keyboards, steel drums, percussion and wind instruments.

Multi purpose Court

A Multi purpose Court with spacious areas for a variety of sports including Cricket Nets, Basketball Courts, Hockey and Playing Field.

Auditorium

The school houses an extensive, air-conditioned auditorium which also serves as a multi purpose hall. The auditorium is used for school assemblies, performances and other large scale school functions.

Additional Facilities

Additional school facilities include a special room dedicated to English language support and a therapy room.
